Breathing new life in to pre-loved furniture
My Work
Have a look at my gallery where you’ll find some commission pieces and items that I’ve brought back to life.

About Me
A genuine passion for not wasting resources and a love of old furniture have led me to this point. I started buying, selling and doing up second hand furniture about 10 years ago and in 2014 embarked on retraining in upholstery. Having undertaken an inspiring Upholstery for Business course at The Ministry of Upholstery in Manchester, completed a fantastic variety of commissions from family, friends and clients, I have now launched my own business, Refabrikate. Working from my home on the Crinan Canal in Argyll I offer a complete range of upholstery, furniture painting services and have my own on-line shop selling bespoke pieces made from items I’ve found in various states of disrepair.

Collecting second hand chairs is definitely an addiction I have. I generally don’t go out looking for them as I have more than enough ‘projects’ stacked (piled!) in my store but quite often I go somewhere and there is a piece that I just have to have and it’s...
